Conference Theme: "Spiritual Practices for Effective Leadership"

Consider the question, “What would make me a better leader?” Are there steps you could take, things you could do? How might you tap into your inner wisdom and God's spirit to be your best and most effective self? These are questions that are pertinent to each of us as we lead in our various spheres of influence. Whether as a parent, a community organizer, a co-worker or an activist, each of us can learn how to lead more effectively by engaging in spiritual practices that encourage us both to take an action and also to reflect. The Rev. Debora Jackson, Executive Director of the Minister's Council of American Baptist Churches and former COO of an energy services technology company, will share her wisdom and experience from years of work as a software engineer, consultant to corporate leaders and minister in Christian community. Rev. Jackson will guide us through a week of practices that will help us clarify our goals; better align our actions with our ideals and our faith; re-affirm our purpose and direction; and strengthen our resolve for future action. Could you benefit from such learnings? Please join us for an amazing week on Star Island and this important morning program. Regardless of your leadership role, as you learn this process, you will increase your effectiveness and restore your well-being.
